Landfill Designs
A general landfill application can accumulate thousands of man-hours in research, planning, design, soil and groundwater investigations and testing, application preparation, regulatory meetings, correspondence and much more.
All of these details should be carefully documented and collected in a single binder (or in multiple volumes if necessary) for submission to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). This provides them with necessary information, such as a detailed background of the site, all design data and planning, monitoring activities and procedures for site operation. Not only is this documentation used for acquiring an operating permit, it is also used by the owner as a reference in operating methods, monitoring schedules and site development guidelines. Of the many types of landfills used for municipal solid waste disposal, OEI is qualified to design and permit Type I, IV, V, VII and VIII sites.
