Lift Stations
In regions where natural topography is unforgiving to the design and installation of gravity sewer collection systems, there comes a necessary need for assistance.
Lift stations can provide that assistance, which is why they have become a common sight in West Texas communities. To choose the right lift station for your needs, the following design elements should be carefully considered:
- Cost Effectiveness
- Ease of Operation
- Availability of Parts and Service
- Maintenance Safety
- Ease of Maintenance
- Upgrade Ability and Expansion Potential
Various modern lift station designs include the submersible, submersible grinder, wet well mounted, recessed wet well mounted, capsular and wet well mounted capsular type stations. These are also the most commonly installed designs today.
The wet well designs have changed dramatically in the last decade, making their use more feasible than ever. Concrete wet well sections are now pre-manufactured and are available in many shapes and sizes.
OEI has designed and managed the construction of stations ranging from 25 gallons per minute (GPM) to 2000 GPM.
