Sewer Line Improvements
OEI has extensive experience in both new sewer line construction and old sewer line replacement. We are familiar with all the TCEQ regulations regarding sewer line construction and can efficiently handle these issues.
Some of the regulations are:
- Minimum grade for individual line sizes
- Maximum manhole spacing as well as location of manholes
- Line sizing according to number of service connections
- Line and manhole testing requirements
- Separation of potable water lines and sanitary sewer lines
Some of the larger sewer line projects we have constructed include:
- City of Hereford - Old clay tile lines had collapsed and were causing flow stoppages, which required a large amount of the city's resources to maintain. We replaced the collapsed lines with new PVC pipe, keeping the old lines in service while the new lines were installed beside them. Services were reconnected as the line was installed and service to residents was uninterrupted.
- City of Tulia - Sewer gases had deteriorated the existing clay tile lines to the point of collapse, so we replaced these lines with new PVC pipe. After the services were reconnected, the old line was abandoned in place.
- City of Shallowater - After a new high school was constructed, existing piping was overloaded. We replaced the old clay tile line and rerouted flow to alleviate sewer stoppages and citizen complaints.
We encourage you to contact any of the above cities for verification of OEI's capabilities. We have learned that technical experience may attract first-time clients, but the personal attention OEI provides will keep them coming back.
